Colonel (U.S. Army, Retired) Mark J. Cappone, ACC is President and Founder and Principal of J. Allen Leadership Solutions, LLC. He is an expert professional and retirement coach with nearly 30 years of experience as a senior military officer, government executive and university faculty member.  A university-trained and credentialed professional coach with decades of practical leadership experience, Mark has helped countless people envision and build their better future.

Mark holds a Master of Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College, and is also a graduate of the Duquesne University Professional Coach Certification Program. He is credentialed through the International Coach Federation as an Associate Certified Coach, and is also qualified to provide career transition and life coaching in addition to retirement and leadership coaching.  

 

Mark continues to invest in the future by teaching leadership and management courses for undergraduates and working professionals at Ohio University’s Voinovich Academy for Excellence in Public Service, The Ohio State University’s Fisher College of Business, and Franklin University's Management and Leadership Program. He is also featured author for the Fisher Leader Initiative’s Lead Read Today publication and sthe Ohio University’s Voinovich Academy's Leadership Moments blog.

 

Mark holds the Birkman Method, Hogan Assessment and PROSCI Change Management Certifications. He is qualified to administer the Birkman Signature, Hogan Insight Series, and Gallup CliftonStrengths assessments, as well as a number of other leadership development tools.
